Story Time

One of my very favorite times of the day is reading books just before bed. From the time our children were just tiny we would read books at bedtime. They would choose their favorite and they would gather round me and we would read. There was of course the book that only Dad could read, Fox in Sox, and some that I would hid because I just didn't like to read them and the kids always somehow managed to find them and then books I would love to read over and over again like the Little Engine That Could, Snow, or the Things That You Read. So here in Indy I get to sit and listen once again to bedtime stories. Brooke let me film her reading so I could send it to her Grandpa.

Canal Walk

On Tuesday Andrea and Brooke, Rebecca and Tyler and I went on a walk along the downtown canal in Indianapolis. It was a beautiful day, little warm, but it wasn't raining. We walked to the Congressional Medal of Honor Monument taking pictures along the way.

Late Night Light Show

Wow! I received quite a treat on my way home from the temple tonight. I left the temple about 10:00 p.m. and watch an almost constant array of lightning strikes all the way home, where I arrived about 11:00 p.m. As I was trailing the storm(s) to the north, I had what amounted to a "front row" seat watching, as I said, virtually a constant array of strikes. It is impossible for me to describe it in words, and I (obviously) couldn't film it, but it was great!
