When You're Helping

This is the Service Center in Santa Ana. The man at the desk is the trainer excellente.

These are our pioneers in Santa Ana, our group of volunteers to open the service center in the Modelo Stake Center which is also the institute building. Sister Flores who is next to Dad in the picture is the wife of the Molino stake president and is heading up the group.

Sister Flores makes these to sell and she graciously gave me one that matched my outfit. She is so kind.

This is our group in San Salvador. They are such a fun group. The gal with her arm up is our other daughter Andrea. She is such a funny girl. We really enjoy her. Then there is Sister Paz and then Brigan who is going to school and will go on a mission next year. On the other side is Gabriella and then a gal who was there to fill out her forms. We love our volunteers

Temple Dedication Day

August 21, 2011 was the dedication of the El Salvador Temple. President Henry B. Eyring dedicated the temple and was accompanied by Elder Christofferson. President Eyring and Elder Christofferson met with the mssionaries on Friday night. Then on Saturday there was a cultural celebration. We had the opportunity to be in the temple for the 9:00 dedication. This is Elder and Sister Ceeros who we replaced at the PEF Service Center

This is Henry and Wendy Sanchez. Wendy is the stake PEF specialist in the Sonsonate Stake and Henry is a counselor in the stake presidency and a bishop. They took us all around the stake buildings in the Santa Ana area one Saturday morning. It was a beautiful drive.

This is the mission office staff. They have been a great help getting us settled here in El Salvador. Left to right: Elders Romero, Marinero, Cook, Antonio and the assistants, Elders Rodriguez and Shinners.

This is Elders Romero and Antonio again. They spent many days helping us get a car and taking care of immigration for us.

This was a great day for us and for the saints in El Salvador.

Here is an article about the dedication.

He Brought Me Roses

So last week was a really long week as I not feeling well, so Elder Hall came home from work with these beautiful flowers. It was so nice Here in El Salvador they sell a lot of things from the middle of the street. You stop at a light and out come people to sell you anything from bananas and gum to sunglasses and car fresheners and people come out and juggle. But I love the place where they sell flowers, mostly roses but lots of beautiful colors.

Our Box With Style

Here is our cool car. It is really a comfortable car and we are grateful to have it.

This is where we work. It is the San Salvador Institute of Religion.

The best looking missionary and the hardest working. He is amazing.

I thought this was interesting, our own little cacti garden.

These are just pictures from our apartment. El Salvador is beautiful.
